Build a good list. Always collect names with the recipients’ permission. A “permission-based” list is a necessity!

Do it right. Swapping addresses with another company is a no-no and is considered “spam” – the kiss of death in email marketing.

Give an exit strategy. You should always include an “opt-out” message, making it easy for people to be taken off your list if they wish.

Don’t be sneaky. Don’t put people on your list if they’ve never heard of you. It doesn’t benefit you to send email messages that customers “opt-out” or report as spam.
